Does the world really need another sewing pattern for a basic tee? LA BREA tee testers say "YES"! Especially when it's a tee that can be made in woven or knit fabric and has B- and D-cup options at every size. What I love most about this pattern is how endless the variations are with such a simple and basic pattern - embodying "simple design. big impact."
The LA BREA tee is the second pattern in my improved, more inclusive range, which is approximately a US 00 to 36, or a UK 4 to 40, fitting a full bust of 76cm to 160cm (30" to 63") and a full hip of 86cm to 170cm (33.75" to 67"). As I grade my patterns in 18 sizes, I simply call them size 1 - 18. The main issues found during testing round was some gaping at the neckline and too narrow of a bicep. In the final pattern, the neckline was dropped very slightly and the bicep at the higher end of the size range was increased. Keeping these issues in mind, I also included tips on adjusting these areas in the instruction booklet.
The group of women who come together to test my patterns are such sewing powerhouses and create an incredibly supportive atmosphere together. I am touched by their warmth and constructive critique each and every time. Here are a few things said by testers:
