The super basic tank top knows no boundaries. In all seasons and climates, this tank top belongs in every handmade wardrobe. Sew up a striped or spotted version to wear with your gathered skirts and cutoffs in the summer, and a solid version to wear under sweaters in the winter. Make it with nice lighter weight, tighter knit and wear it as an undershirt for bra-free days. (Then use the scraps
to make matching underpants!)
This pattern was drafted for a sewing B cup and approx. 168 cm or 5ft.6in. Step-by-step illustrated instructions will guide you whether using a standard sewing machine only or in combination with a serger

Similar fabrics with anywhere between 40% and 100% stretch will also work well, but may result in a slightly snugger or looser fit.

first of all i would really like to Thank Meghan for making this pattern available for free!
I didn't do bands, i just binded them over the seam allowance, I used a 0.7 cm wide seam allowance. didnt remove any. just binded over it. I also removed lenght from the hem, like 3 cm or so. didnt do it on the lenghten or shorten line. it may be due to the fact that i've a smaller torso. but the pattern is just love love love! i've already had experience with many tank tops before, so I didn't exactly use the instructions. I just read it for any new steps and since there were none, i didnt use it.
I would like to point out that its important to press after sewing the shoulder and side seams. it makes the garment look ten times better when done!
once again i am super grateful for the beautifully designed pattern!
Thank you!
Very nice top with great fit and easy to sew. I folded the neck- and armbands completely to the inside before sewing the edges so that they're invisible and I love the clean look of it.
Great pattern love the shape of the neckline at the front and back, is very flattering on and instructions were easy to follow.
